Real estate market, especially the high end Real estate market in Goa has seen a sluggish year so far. Premium properties being built around Goa but the slow sales are pulling down hopes of enthusiastic buyers purchasing these properties. While mixed views are widely spread around the market experts note that the property prices around Goa are witnessing a correction wherein property prices are shooting up in some places while its dropping in other places. 

Another commonly noted fact is the drastic decrease in the demand for old styled Portuguese villas in Goa. These properties have seemed lost their charms on the neo-buyers who prefer investing into properties with proper gated complex and other premium amenities for a posh lifestyle. The buyers for such properties are actually people from Delhi, Banglore, Pune, Mumbai and other metropolitan areas. The trend observed is that these people purchase villas in Goa by selling their properties in the respective metros to slow down and live a relaxed life. Once they feel the push to return into the metros, they sell out the properties in Goa for a profit and get back. 

This trend has definitely affected the luxury real estate market and as such because of the withdrawal of this trend the market may be undergoing a correction.
